Fire Marshall Training

Duration - half day

The purpose of this course is to give delegates a basic  understanding of the factors that contribute to workplace fires, fire prevention, and what actions should be taken in the event of a fire.  Also covered are the additional duties of a Fire Marshall.  The course begins with a theoretical introduction including and examination of all types of portable extinguishers, their uses and then concludes with a practical demonstration of extinguisher use.


The course covers:

  • Understanding combustion
  • Relevant legislation
  • Understanding the different fire classes
  • Understand fire extinguisher types
  • Understanding the  techniques for Fire Extinguisher use


How is the course assessed?

There is short classroom based group assessment before delegates are asked to operate water and CO2 fire extinguishers.
